Dark Affairs

Upon returning to my office this Tuesday, I was told a very disturbing incident. My uncle (let's call him A) had physically assaulted one of my aunts, who is his sister, due to some issue which in some ways involve my company. I will not go into details, but let's just say that he will be back in Singapore soon after a very long absence, and it seems that he has intentions to gain an upper hand as far as the company is concerned. Tricky family affairs.. I just hope that my boss/dad would be smart enough to take the right actions for the good of the company.

On a personal side, I have a problem to deal with, too. The same problem I've had with Eddy few years ago is back now. Yes, the same problem where he treats his friends fucked up and gives excuses and all that. While it doesn't not really affect me as much cuz I'm experienced liao, I can't deny that it still affects me to a slight extent. Yesterday night/this morning, I had a dream that I was running away from him and he was out to get me. I do not understand the significance of the dream though.

Problems aside, the big thing I'm looking forward to is my next Thai trip in September. It's gonna be a fun one... Patpong, here I come!!

I went to Sentosa for a swim and sun-tan this afternoon, despite the pessimistic weather forecast for today. Having woken up late and gone to pick Laibao up only at 1pm, we did not have an enormous portion of time to spend there. However, the 2 hours of splashing around in the sea was just good enough. After having enough of the sea, we bathed, went back to the car to deposit some of our bulkier belongings, then to Movenpick for ice-cream. As usual, I went for the double-scoop, Caramelita + Swiss Chocolate flavor.

In my opinion, a visit to Palawan Beach can never end without a visit to the Twin Huts, so we made our way there and spent a fair amount of time there viewing the scenery, as well as did a little exploration on a certain part of the islet we've never been to. We headed home soon after that, only to meet out at Bedok Central again an hour for dinner, as Laibao wanted to bring some of his stuff home first and I did not feel like driving my car out after that. We had Long John Silver and loitered around NTUC Fairprice, then I went home while Laibao went elsewhere to meet his friend.

Deciding to do something constructive for a Sat night, I started on learning Thai writing, and for tonight, I've managed to learn 9 consonants, 7 vowels and 4 tone marks. By definition, the Thai alphabet system has 44 consonants and 32 vowels, which means I've got ((44 - 9) + (32 - 7)) = 60 more alphabets to learn! Well, at least I've managed to make a start, though.
