For the past few days, most of my time has been spent on playing Marvel vs Capcom 2 on my Wintendo, unlocking all the bloody 56 characters, with a bit of surfing and studying Thai over the weekends.
I placed an online order for an Apple Macbook today, and sold my previous laptop to my aunt for 300 bucks. It'll probably be delivered to my home by next or the following week. I've made the transition from Windows to Linux. Time to try out OSX on the new laptop. If it disappoints, I'll turn it into a Linux machine as well. With a food fair going on at Expo, I guess I'm going to put on a bit of weight for these few days, especially when my mum visits the fair every single day and comes home with truckloads of foodstuff. Great, just when I thought my appetite was shrinking. But in the end, I'm still the one to blame for not being able to resist the temptation of all the nice food from the fair. I did my duty of ferrying my mum to the Expo today, though I wasn't very willing at first with the fear of running into parking problems there, especially with the crowd. However, I was lucky enough to get a free lot just as I was about to exit that particular car park. There my mum goes again, doing her usual true-female-style shopping, browsing stalls without any intentions to buy. But wait, she DID buy, and she bought so much stuff that we had to go back to the car to deposit the items from the first round of the shopping and go back for another round. We spent like 3 hours or so there. When leaving the car park, there was this driver who had insufficient funds in his cashcard, causing him to hold up strings of waiting cars from all 3 directions at the exit. Trying to be a hero, I sold him my extra cashcard. As soon as he cleared the exit, cars from the other 2 directions flooded right into the gate, depriving me of the chance to exit, with a queue of other cars behind me too. It was until I FORCED my way through that I had a chance to exit. Currently, there are 3 things to look forward to. Short-term - Collection of my new laptop. Medium-term - Thai trip in Sept!!!! (104 days to go) Long-term - Trip to Maldives. Haven't planned yet.
