After 2 nightmarish days of waking-up-at-7am to get rides to my office on my dad's car, my car was finally done with the repairs this afternoon. The workmanship is outstanding at an affordable cost of $480, bringing my bumper and bonnet back to near-perfection, except for a little dent-mark remaining due to the impossibility of shaping the bumper back without a mould, and the grill which cannot be replaced at the moment due to the unavailability of stocks. Nevertheless, it's extremely well-done.
Upon reaching home, I had some roti prata followed by a bath, and then finally settled down to tend to my latest 2 purchases - a DVD of Hot Fuzz and a Linkin Park album, Minutes to Midnight. Hot Fuzz is a movie released in the UK a few months back, but it has never been to Singapore yet. I was actually looking forward to watching it cuz the main casts include 2 of my favorite actors, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It's about this outstanding policeman from the city being posted to a seemly peaceful and quiet town, only to discover a huge conspiracy in the town and finds himself and his partner in danger. It delivers the same humor as other Simon/Nick shows do, and includes a large dose of action along with a tint of mystery. I'm listening to Minutes to Midnight as I'm writing this entry. Seems to be a very promising album so far, with several tracks I've already begun to fall for.
