This week has been an exciting one for me, cuz I've finally received my new MacBook by delivery, and bought an iPod Nano as well. 2 new devices for me to play around with. The Mac OS is simply a beauty, but I do not really fancy the fact that it's missing out couple of important features I've always had in Linux, such as the ability to have multiple workspaces as well as the raw performance of Linux.

I did some shopping at Sim Lim with Laibao today, getting myself a mouse and case for my MacBook and a silicon casing for my iPod. I don't really like the silicon casing though, as it somehow cripples the efficiency of the 'Lock/Unlock' switch on the iPod.

After the retail therapy session, we had dinner at Long John Silver's. We wanted to catch 'Men in White', and initially planned to watch it at the new Cathay building, so we made out way there on foot after dinner. However, tickets were sold out like hot cakes, and the next logical place to go would be Plaza Sing. It was just 5 - 10 mins' walk from Cathay. Once we reached there, we toured around Carrefoure for a bit before heading up to the cinemas.

Things weren't much better at Plaza Sing, as the best seats left was 2 rows away from the screen! We didn't wanna be kids staring up at a giant, so we had 2 choices - either to do something else or to catch another movie instead. We opted for the latter, and chose to watch 'Legends of the Sea'. We had 20 mins before the show started, so we went down to Sembawang Music store for Laibao to buy some stuff, then down to Carrefoure to stock up drinks for the movie.

'Legends of the Sea' does not really deserve a 1-star rating due to the great plot and storyline, but if you are looking for action/suspense/humor, you will be disappointed. I was kindda disappointed too, but I still strongly felt it would deserve at least 2 stars.

The night wasn't getting any younger by the time the movie ended, so we decided to head home. As I reached my doorstep and finally get some time to write this entry, my mum called to ask me to fetch her and my brother from Bugis. I'm dead beat and have got a "war" tomorrow, but.. heck it.
